Edit
A car with injection feature was truly more comfortable if you compare it with the old carburetor car. But that doesn’t mean car with injection feature weren’t needed to maintain. The often problem we see to this kinds of engine was the cripple or act strangely than it should be and the different engine system could complicate to solve the problem.
But that doesn’t mean we couldn’t check and detect it, here are several
suggestions you could do to detect your injection feature car engine
Even the car was adopting the newest injection feature but the system is till
relatively the same as the carburetor based engine. The main problem would be
shrink only into two parts they are the fuel supply and the spark/ignition
system.
Sparks/Ignitions System
Almost all injection engine car was adopting the coil on plug but if you find
that your car still using the distributor and sparks plug cable then the old
way could apply to detect it. It would need more information’s and knowledge if
your car were adopting the coil on plug system. Is it the sparks plug? Or is it
the distributor between the coil and the spark plug.
The distributor could be rip on the inside and to know more about it you could check the parts one by one. The leaking electricity on the spark plug cable or even a dead spark plug obviously would make your engine become cripple because there are no ignitions on the engine cylinder.
Fuel Supply System
On the other hands the malfunctions on fuel supply system could also become the
cause of the cripple engine. The often cause was the fuel supply pump that no
longer working well and not enough make normal pressure. The less pressure
sometime your car would have random engine rounds because the fuel wasn’t
supplied properly.
Towards at the fuel system you would find the injector that used to spray the
fuel as the replacement of the carburetor system. A dirty injector usually
would affect anything to your engine because there are still fuel inject to the
intake manifold. Cripple engine usually
caused by a dead injector so there are no fuel to distribute inside and burns.
That was two of the main and often cause of a cripple engine, if you already detect one of it you could go to the nearest car service center and tell them what probably the caused based on your detection earlier. It only not makes the mechanic easier to find the problem but it also makes you know what is exactly the problem.
